Changing your DNS settings has been known to fix network related issues when patching the client. Give these steps a try and if it does not fix your issue you can go back to automatic settings.

- Go to the Start Menu and choose Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, click "Network and Sharing Center."
- In the Network and Sharing Center, look at the left side of the window. You should see a list of tasks. Select "Manage network connections."
- This step will slightly vary, however locate the network connection in this window that you're using. For a wired connection, look for "Local Area Connection". If you are using a wireless connection it should be something like "Wireless Network Connection."
- Right-click on the connection you're using and choose "Properties."
- In the window that pops up, click on "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click the "Properties" button.
- In this window, click the radio button that says "Use the following DNS addresses:."
- In the Primary DNS field, fill in the following IP address: 208.67.222.222
- In the Secondary DNS field, fill in the following IP address: 208.67.220.220
- Click OK, and then click Close.
- Go to the Start Menu and choose Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, click "View network status and tasks."
- In the Network and Sharing Center, look at the left side of the window. You should see a list of tasks. Select "Change adapter settings."
