Any crafting materials collected go to a separate tab in the inventory and can be stacked in large quantities. If you right-click any crafting materials in your adventure inventory or chests, they will be moved into your crafting inventory.
You can locate this tab in the inventory section, by pressing B (Default). You will find your crafting items in the tab with the Flux icon.
